Catch The Smoke

Reduce smoke and lingering cooking smells with LG's enhanced ExtendaVent 2.0. Where most over-the-range microwaves only cover the rear of the cooktop, ExtendaVent 2.0 provides powerful ventilation over virtually the entire cooktop, back to front. That's what we call clearing the air.

With the new EasyClean(R) interior, you can have quick and high performance cleaning inside and out without using chemicals.

Largest Capacity*

With largest capacity at 2.2. cu.ft., there's always plenty of room to heat large items.

*Based on manufacturers' published specifications of over-the-range microwaves as of December, 2013.

Touchpad and Display Features

Energy Savings Feature - This Microwave saves energy by turning off the display when the unit is not active for 5 minutes. When this feature is in use the power consumption drops to below 0.1W. One Touch Settings - Makes it easy to cook and warm a variety of foods - from a cup of coffee to chicken nuggets.

Sleek Design

With SmoothTouch glass controls located at the bottom of the glass door, this microwave delivers on both style and ease of use.

QuietPower Ventilation System

With an Over-the-Range Microwave Oven, strong ventilation is key. That's why LG has created the QuietPower vent, which does the job quietly, without interrupting your life.

Nice looking/ works great

Purchased 5 months ago. I like the black stainless steel look and the extra vent that pops out. Only thing holding back from a 5 star is when using my LG stove top rapid boil burner the microwave handle gets really hot. It does not burn your hand but you don't want to grab and hold the handle for very long!. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

WOW!!!

I am impressed with this range. The cooktop burners offer flexibility with the dual burners and I can fit multiple large pans on the cooktop at the same time. (My old cooktop would only hold one large pan and 3 small pans.) The two ovens allow me to make dinner and bake dessert at the same time - no more juggling start times and planning time for the oven to cool down to start the next dish. The infrared grille in the upper oven makes delicious roasted veggies. I'm learning how to bake with the convection oven and am pleased with the initial results - the breads and rolls are evenly baked and rise so high. The proofing function for bread dough on the lower oven is such a convenience. I even like the grab handles on the oven racks so that it is easy to slide out the racks. I am so glad that I saved up for this model, I haven't been disappointed.

I wanted to love this oven, but all I can do is cr

I bought this oven almost two years ago and now after yet another ruined dessert, I have to finally be frank with myself and admit how much I hate this oven. Before moving in our house two years ago, we lived in a rental with a cheap and older stove and despite being cheap and old, that stove yielded consistent desserts that turned out almost perfectly each time. You'd think, a newer, much more expensive range would do even better, but that turned out to far from the truth. Every dessert I've cooked in the bottom oven has been a disaster, whether I choose regular heating or convection. I have two independent oven thermometers I started using after desserts started over cooking in the oven and both registered the oven initially as being 50 to 75 degrees too hot (regardless of whether I checked after 30 minutes or an hour). So, I used the temperature adjustment feature to adjust the temperature. Then desserts started being underdone and the thermometers would show the oven as being 50 to 75 degrees too cold. So I turned the temperature to the original setting and still everything would either be under- or over-done (nothing like having to choose between melted or burnt pie crust). There seemed to be no rhyme or reason to it, so simply adjusting the temperature would not work. Apparently some internal temperature gauge must be off. Now, to the top oven. The top oven has yielded more tolerable results, as long as I don't cook anything fancy, so it is pretty much the only oven I ever use (which is sad, because I paid for a double oven, but am reduced to using an oven even smaller than a regular one). However, it also has fluctuations in temperature as well, though to a smaller degree (15 to 25 degrees). This results also results in either underdone or burnt pie crust, and other pastry desserts, but the most devastating result is for my cheesecakes. The trick to cheesecake is to cook at a low temperature (200 degrees) for several hours. The oven usually runs hot, but when I cook my cheesecakes, it all of a sudden decides to run cold and my cheesecakes are more like pudding. I cannot understand the reasoning, other than that the oven is not able to run at a consistent temperature throughout baking, so constantly runs hot then cold. Even after heating up either oven, if I turn them off and immediately turn them back on, they'll show up as preheating at 75 degrees lower than the temperature I had them at. I'm not impressed with this range at all and feel like I've wasted my money on an oven I'm afraid to use. The stove top is a little better, but I've discovered that according to it, 5 is high heat and and 3, medium. Anything above 6 yields burnt food and scorched pans, but at least cooking temperatures are more easily adjusted and forgiving than baking. Still, this oven sucks. Wife picked this oven out. She wanted the dual (convection) oven areas for cooking at different temperatures. Stove tops have multiple heating areas and heat up quickly! Very nice design and well built. I'm really enjoying LG products!
