Honestly, I have dreamed of getting an induction cook top for many years and Samsung's cook tops are absolutely a dream come true! It has been so much fun exploring and learning this new type of cooking - it feels like a culinary AND science adventure all in one. The new Samsung Induction Cook Top has been a blast for the whole family....we're surprised at how much the kids are getting into it. No one can resist magnets, apparently. This sleek, stylish cook top is so attractive and incredibly easy to use. We were also thrilled to discover that most of our cook ware works well with it - we didn't need to buy any new pots or pans. The other thing that is definitely worth mentioning about Samsung's Induction cook top is that it is very technology forward. If you're a tech. nerd lik I am you'll certainly appreciate the digital-analog controls, power boost feature, flex zone option, and spot on Wifi connectivity! In our kitchen we use the power boost feature to truly multi-task. You don't want to totally blast a delicate sauce or saute so you keep that burner low, but on the neighboring burner you can heat your tea kettle in under a minute using the power boost. It's literally the world's speediest cup of tea. We also get a kick out of Samsung's extra LED light feature which shines onto your cookware and creates the aesthetic of gas cooking - it's actually quite charming. I had mine for a couple of months and coming from radiant I can definitely say WOW! It is as good if not better then gas and so easy to clean. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Discoloration on Burner

after light use fewer than 10 months, largest burner discolored. followed all care instructions. so-called cosmetic damage is not covered under the warranty. won't consider samsung in the future.

Controls don’t work well.

can’t control power. jumps from 5 to 14 or whatever it feels like. thought i could control power on my phone - set power directly - can’t do that either. worst induction i’ve had from samsung.

Excellent features and reliability

We've had this cooktop for over a year and have been pleased with our choice. We especially like the feature of combining burners for the grill, and the power burst feature for rapid heating. We also like the blue light imitating a gas flame to indicate the burner is on. The only issue issue we have had to get used to is the control panel sensitivity to moisture, which will shut down the burners until is it dry (for example if water splashes onto the panel controls during cooking or prep). Because this is an induction cooktop, the product is relatively expensive, but worth the extra cost in my opinion. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
