Smooth cooktop

I bought this back in August along with a new sink, faucet, and new granite countertops as a Xmas gift for my wife. I installed it today. Simple to install. The controls are right out in the front and easy to access. The wife loves the full cook grates allowing to move pots and pans easily from one burner to another. Wonderful cooktop

I purchased this cooktop to replace one I have had for 12 years. Technology certainly has changed for the better. I really love this cooktop. It has cast iron grates so no more chipped enamel when pots are moved around. It cooks much faster than my old one and it is easy to clean since the burners are sealed and no food can get under them. So glad I took the plunge and purchased a new cooktop. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

I bought this a couple months ago. I chose it because Frigidaire has a good reputation in the appliance world. I wanted black and not stainless because I heard the stainless one shows scratches from the cast iron grates moving around. Another feature I liked about this cooktop is the grates are continuous so I can slide my pans across the top smoothly. Cast iron pans and pots are heavy so it was important that they slide. I love the powerful center burner; it boils water very quickly. We hired a plumber to put it in for us, which I highly recommend, for peace of mind. GREAT ITEM (but?)

Very Pleased with the item. Cooks well and has a great appearance. The only feature we are negative on is the bright glossy paint. Fry one egg and you have to pull the grating off and clean the bottom portion. Very hard to clean - it streaks and it is very difficult to get these streaks off. A black matt finish would of been easier to clean. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
