have had microwave for 3 years and it stopped working. it will not heat up food anymore. prior to this it worked good but now to fix it will coat more than a new one. i would have expected this to last more than 3 years

this microwave was working great until it stopped working all of a sudden. obviously its outside warranty window now so scheduled repair service and ofcourse it costs more to repair it then to just buy a new one. talked to samsung and they are not willing to pay for a new one, fix the old one for free or reimburse anything when clearly there product is faulty as i am not the only who had the same issue. i will definitely not buy another samsung microwave again.

we boughg a new 5th wheel rv in march of 2020 and one of the kitchen appliances was a samsung micro/conv oven combo. it worked great up until a year of us owning the rv……abiut 14 months into it and it no longer works. weve tried everything w/zero luck. pretty bad that a major sppliance has such a short life span. i contacted samsung but as ive read elsewhere regarding this same issue. unless you wanna spend a fairly good chunk of change i guess we chalk it up to oh well and im off to buy a new micro/conv oven combo……and it will not be a samsung!

disclaimer - we didn't seek this product out. the original product we ordered was basic/lower end model since we don't use a mic that often. we were told this was an $800+ product we got as a trade and effort for best buy to make things right with our kitchen install mishaps. ~3 years later it has already stopped heating. we primarily use the vent, timer and popcorn functions so it gets low to medium level use. i think we only used convection a couple times. out of warranty, it's $200 just to bring a repair person + $50 since it's over the range + parts and any additional labor required. that's already more than what we would have spent for the mic we planned to buy originally.

this microwave should have lasted much longer. after 2 years, the convection feature just stopped working—no heat at all. after 2.5 years, it stopped working altogether. no lights, no error code...nothing! i'm not paying hundreds in repair fees just to have this happen again. i've bought a bosch instead. my samsung dishwasher keeps breaking down as well. i'm never buying samsung anything ever again! i'm shocked this thing has 3.7 stars at the moment, after reading all the other reviews stating it stops working after a couple of years. go read them before you decide to buy it or not.
