i've been using this dryer for about a month and it consistently leaves clothes damp. regardless of which of the 1000 buttons i press it doesn't change. i'm currently troubleshooting the dryer to see if something is wrong with it which i don't think there is, but even if there was i would be more upset that the "smart" dryer didn't tell me on its own that i need to address something. my used $200 1990's dryer with 1 knob, one button and one dial does a far superior job of drying clothes. these issues could probably fixed with a firmware update, if i could set temp and dryness level, nothing else, no normal/heavy duty etc, time, eco mode etc and have the dryer turn off on its own when it reaches the dryness level i select and i'd be a happy camper.

we bought the set and were initially very happy with the. the washer developed the famous "don't use both washers at the same time or you will splash the control board and the machine will be useless because we can't design a proper water catch", so of course it was not covered under warranty and we had to replace the machine outright. now the dryer developed a loud bang with each rotation as noticed by other people reviewing this dryer and has completely stopped turning and is a now a nice $1800 paper weight only after 2 years of regular use. this is classic samsung quality and durability. this household does not plan on going with samsung ever again for its appliances, going to try to look for one without planned planned obsolescence. extremely disappointed and a waste of money.

The FlexDry has been a great upgrade for my family. We have been very impressed by how quickly and thoroughly the clothes have dried in the main dryer. It’s also beautiful to look at. I’ve had so many comments on the attractive appearance. The top dryer with the air-drying rack has really been nice as well. So far we have been able to dry my wife’s suede skirt and a new nice blouse that normally would have been ruined in a standard dryer. Our old dryer did not hold nearly the capacity of the FlexDry, and since this machine is so efficient, I never have to worry about pulling out damp clothes at the end of the cycle. Our home used to be cluttered with items that we had washed but couldn’t dry with the full load. We are talking chairs, the counter, etc. But now, our FlexDry can handle any load and gets everything dried and ready to wear. The FlexDry is so easy to use that my kids are now even pitching in. We will see if that lasts but overall, I am very happy with this dryer.

Despite of my best judgement and previous experience with Samsung appliances I bought Flex washer and dryer. They are beautiful and have the right set of features. Unfortunately top dryer does not work at all from the start and bottom dryer throws errors randomly. Samsung support suggested to power cycle dryer; it helped for one cycle of drying. I got a gas dryer and discovered that SmartControl feature is for monitoring only; it is pretty much useless.
