Efficient, compact, quiet

We bought this washer because our last one got fried by a downed electrical wire. This one has a 240V plug, so it won't get overloaded by a similar event--important if you live in a rural area with lots of power issues. Overall, this washer is quiet and efficient, and it fits in the kitchen. All good qualities. It also has an extra hot setting for towels and things, which has been useful. I have some small engineering and construction criticisms. 1. The soap drawer feels kind of flimsy, and the line for measuring the soap is angled in such a way that it's impossible to read unless you stick your head right down by the drawer to look at you pour the soap. 2. Our previous washer had a very insensitive control panel, which was frustrating, but this one is oversensitive. I often turn it on/off/pause by accident while reaching for the soap. And our cat has also done things by touching the panel! On the bright side, when I do want to change a setting, I can change it easily. 3. The spin cycle could be better at wringing the moisture out of the laundry, but it's pretty good. This is probably my biggest criticism of the washer. Great little washer: quiet, effective and likable. Only complaint is that there appears no way to be able to do a "Spin" cycle by itself. Only a "Rinse & Spin". No way to advance any process manually. Just set it and accept it (whether you like it or not). There are many choices for water temp, spin speed, extra rinses, etc. But no "just spin" cycle. That's an irritant. But otherwise it's a fine machine. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Small, Good, Cleans Well

This fits Perfectly in my small Condo, is Quiet, and Cleans Well! But after Each Wash you Have To wipe out under the rubber lining to prevent mold/mildew--otherwise water just Sits in there. You Also Have To Open and Dry Out the Soap dispense drawer--I didn't and found dried, yellowed soap stuck in mine. While it has a lot of Great features, it is Also a Lot of Maintenance after Each Load. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
